Als Trio haben BucherSommerFriedli das Terrain schon genau vermessen: Die Randgebiete von ModernJazz und Fusion mitsamt dem Drang hinaus ins Offene sind auf zwei Cds, „Thermi“ (2005) und „Farb“ (2008), mit viel Liebe zum landschaftlichen Detail kartographiert. Der Pianist Stefan Aeby erweitert die Expedition nun zum Quartett und sorgt dabei für ein paar markante Orientierungspunkte im Gelände.
